Visitors to the UAE with different purposes now have the option of applying for ten different types of entry visas without the need for a host or sponsor.
UAE visitors can choose from several types of visas under the new system. Introducing new permits will also eliminate the need for a host or sponsor.
Entry visas have undergone significant improvements, such as facilitating entry requirements for all visa types and offering flexible visa durations to meet visitors’ needs and their purpose for visiting. In addition, all entry visas will now be valid for 60 days from the date of issuance and will be available for single or multiple entries. In addition, they can be renewed for similar periods.
Job exploration entry Visa
Designed to attract young talents and skilled professionals to explore job opportunities in the country, the Job Exploration Visa is mainly intended to attract such people. Applicants who meet the following requirements will be granted a visa without the need for a sponsor or host:
- Applicants must be categorized in the first, second, or third skill level according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation
- Applicants must be fresh graduates of the top 500 universities worldwide
- To be eligible, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Job exploration entry Visa
Businesses and entrepreneurs can invest and do business in the UAE with a Business Entry Visa. The visa simplifies entry by eliminating the need for a sponsor or host.
Multi-entry tourist visa
A 5-year multi-entry tourist visa was introduced in addition to the regular tourist visa sponsored by the UAE tourism establishment.
To make the process easier for tourists and visitors, the new multiple-entry tourist visa can now be granted to all nationalities. On each visit, tourists can stay in the country for 90 days on a five-year visa, which is extendable for another 90 days.
To qualify for this visa, you must submit the following:

It is also possible for disabled children to be sponsored by their parents under a special permit, and unmarried females can be sponsored for an indefinite period of time.
Entry permit to visit relatives or friends
Visitors may apply for an entry permit to visit family or friends if they are UAE citizens or residents. Hosts or sponsors are not needed.
Entry permit for a temporary work mission
An entry permit for a temporary work mission can be obtained by visitors sponsored by their employer and have a temporary assignment such as probation testing or a project-based mission. In addition, visitors who are relatives or friends of a UAE citizen or resident may apply for this entry permit.
There are several requirements, including:
- Temporary work contract
- Clarification of the purpose of the visit from the employer
- Fitness to work and proof of health.
Entry permit for study and training
Those attending training and study courses or participating in internship programs are eligible for the entry permit for study and training. A university, educational institution, or research institute licensed in the country can sponsor this type of permit.
It is necessary to obtain a letter from the entity stating the details of the training or internship program and how long it will last.
Residence permit for humanitarian cases
In the following humanitarian cases, UAE residence permits will be issued:
- To qualify for a residence permit, a female resident must have one or more children whose husband was of UAE nationality.
- Foreign-passport-holding parents or children of UAE citizens
- Foreign passport holders whose spouses and children are citizens of Gulf Corporation Council (GCC) states
Medical Treatment
Foreign patients can be sponsored for treatment in the UAE by a medical establishment, government, or private hospital. The sponsor (medical establishment) is responsible for processing entry permits for patients seeking treatment.
Diplomatic Affairs
Foreigners with Diplomatic, Memorable, or UN passports will be issued a Diplomatic Entry Permit.
Study or Training
An entry permit for study or training can be obtained by students sponsored by educational institutions or public and private entities.
Emergency
Emergency entry permits will be available to transit passengers, sailors, flight crews, and military personnel in an emergency.
GCC Residents
The GCC Resident Entry Permit can be obtained by residents of GCC countries and their escorts.
